Courses & Projects

We run many different types of projects for children and young people under the age of twenty-five. We also provide a range of personal and career development programmes for the eighteen-plus age group.

For up-to-date information on all our projects, please click on the links for any of our projects, which are all listed on the left of this page.  We also have information listed on some of the projects that we have run in recent years.  If you would like to know more about our recent history, these are listed under our Project Archive section.

If you have any questions or if you would like to talk to someone about any of our projects, please follow the contact us link under each section, and we will be pleased to hear from you.

How to join
If you would like to join any of the courses and projects currently running, you will need to fill in an application form for each project and course that you are interested in. When you have completed your form, you need to send it back to the project so that we can enrol you on your project or on the waiting list, if there is one. We will soon have interactive application forms on this website but, for the moment, we are using the following system:

  • Step one
Use the contact us links to find the contact details for the department that runs the course or project that you want to join. Ask them to send you an application form for your course or project, and they will then send you an application form to complete and tell you where to send it back to.  You can also download the application forms from some of the project listings, depending on the type of information we need to ask for.  Please check the project section that you are interested in for more information.
  • Step two
Fill out your application form and return it to the department that runs your course. You will then be enrolled directly on your course or project, or be put on the waiting list if there is one.
  • Step three
We will contact you when a place becomes available on your course or project and we will tell you when and where to start your classes.
  • Step four
You begin your chosen course or project!

More details are given on how to apply for each project in the ‘how to join’ section for each course and project that we run. Follow the link to the project or course you would like to join, and then scroll down to the ‘how to join’ section for more information to help you to get started.

Prices and fees
We work very hard to make sure that all our projects and courses are as low cost as possible. Some of our programmes are free to students and others have to paid for by the session.

Many projects are individually funded or supported by our generous funders and partners. In this way we ensure that young people with talent and commitment are not excluded from high quality training in the arts because of low income.

Fees for our projects and courses vary widely depending on the type of project you will be joining. For details of the fees for your course or project, please follow the link to that project and scroll down to the ‘prices and fees’ section. This will give you up to date information about the costs involved and how you will need to pay.

Bursaries
For young people who genuinely have difficulties in meeting our fees, when we do have to make a charge, we can sometimes offer bursaries. This means that, in special circumstances, we will cover students’ course fees to allow them to take part in a programme. Our bursary funds are very limited, however, and you will need to talk to the Director or Project Co-ordinator to see if you might qualify.
