Last Mile Project

About this programme

Unfortunately, this project is no longer running

This project is designed to bridge the gap between training and employment within the performing arts sector. Funded by EQUAL, it offers support and career advice to young artists.

As part of this work, we develop ‘training for trainers’ programmes and support work placements. We also offer individual mentoring and develop creative apprenticeships. We can help with CV and portfolio building, self presentation and employment issues and we also support the growth of a range of small businesses in the arts.

Course details
Another of our ongoing support programmes, Last Mile is made up of activities that are organised around the needs of the young people involved. They include weekly advice surgeries, showcase preparation and a variety of additional training opportunities to support our members.

Who this programme is designed for
Last Mile is designed for socially disenfranchised groups (especially those who are from Black and ethnic minority cultures) in the creative and cultural industries. You will have undertaken professional level training in the arts and now want to take this further into employment in the field.

Your tutors
Mentors and trainers are selected from our ‘tried and tested’ database of experienced practitioners and tutors according to the needs of our users. Between them they have many years’ experience across the arts sector and all have a special interest in helping you to achieve your goals.
